At my bridal shower I received a set of pots and pans from my future mother in law that I just love! They are robin's egg blue speckled with a darker blue. Kory and I decided it would be a great "inspiration piece" for our kitchen... so we painted the walls the light light blue and started collecting accent pieces. Luckily, this shade of blue is a hot color that is everywhere! Rugs, candles, throw pillows, curtains, dishes, you name it, it's out there right now! : ) It was the first time I ever used a favorite possession to determine how I would decorate... it is pretty fun, and it gives that special item even more meaning when you decorate an entire room around it.
